Justrite Safety Group is a dynamic organization dedicated to protecting people, property, and the planet through advanced industrial safety solutions. They are seeking an early-career accounting professional to work closely with the Business Unit Controller and finance teams, gaining hands-on experience in various accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Own reconciliations and monthly activity for assigned accounts, including prepaids, commissions, and rebate reserves
- Prepare recurring journal entries and month-end accruals
- Administer distributor rebate programs and review customer deductions and claims for contract compliance
- Serve as a key point of contact for intercompany transactions with trading partners
- Partner with non-finance stakeholders to determine the correct accounting treatment for sales deductions and expenses
- Support year-end audit requests by preparing schedules, documentation, and account support for assigned areas
- Compile information needed for state and local sales tax filings across monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual cycles
- Help maintain strong internal controls by following and reinforcing company policies and procedures
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environment
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, accruals, and financial controls
- Comfort working in ERP and financial systems; experience with OneStream and Infor is a plus
- Experience with systems such as XA, BaaN, Syteline, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor, SAP, or similar platforms
- Exposure to rebates, sales deductions, intercompany transactions, or sales tax support
- A continuous improvement mindset and interest in making processes more efficient
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work cross-functionally with non-finance partners
