Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Prismatic is an integration platform that helps B2B software companies build integrations fast and deliver them at scale. They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build new services, improve performance, and scale their platform while collaborating with a remote team and mentoring others.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code that meets high-quality standards both within the core Infrastructure and related parts of the Prismatic Product
- Lead projects from conception through production deployment
- Support and empower a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, product managers and business stakeholders
- Collaborate and contribute as a member of a full-stack product development team
- Create strong developer experiences through our dashboard, documentation, APIs, and SDKs
- Discover and advocate for new techniques and technologies to accelerate improvements in the reliability and scalability of Prismatic
- Participate in the Platform On-Call rotation
- Routinely provide sound feedback in code reviews, design reviews, security reviews, etc
- Coach and mentor less experienced teammates as you build domain expertise
- Be part of a highly collaborative, fully remote team that ships new code into production every day
Skills
- 5+ years of progressive experience in professional software development, with a track record of technical leadership and architectural contributions, ideally in startups
- Experience implementing AWS-based Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure-As-Code technologies like Terraform and Docker
- Experience in the Javascript / Typescript, and Python ecosystems
- Hands-on experience building for, and operating FaaS environments like AWS Lambda
- Demonstrate expertise building and evolving large-scale, distributed production systems
- Enjoy tackling complex CI/CD scenarios
- Committed to working in a communicative and collaborative environment
- Write code that can be easily understood by others, with an eye towards maintainability
- Strong advocate for engineering excellence, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
- Experience, and opinions, on how to best use AI Coding agents to accelerate your work
- Professional experience with some of the following: PostgresQL, Redis, GraphQL, Gitlab CI/CD
- Having a GitHub or similar that you're proud to show off
