The Program Manager, Compliance & Privacy Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, while partnering with various teams to integrate compliance into product workflows.
Responsibilities
- Translate regulatory and legal requirements into operational frameworks — Own the development of workflows, controls, and scalable processes that operationalize compliance and privacy requirements across product and business initiatives. Ensure consistent application of standards across teams
- Embed compliance into product and engineering workflows — Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to integrate privacy, data protection, marketing, operational and platform safety considerations into product design, development, and release processes. Influence how data is collected, used, stored, and governed
- Build and scale compliance systems and processes — Design, implement, and continuously improve repeatable processes, policies, and documentation that enable teams to operate efficiently within regulatory requirements and proactively engage with legal. Drive adoption of tools and frameworks that support compliance at scale
- Advise on risk and support decision-making — Serve as a key partner to cross-functional teams in assessing risk related to data privacy, platform integrity, and platform content. Provide clear, actionable guidance that enables informed decisions without slowing execution
- Drive cross-functional alignment and execution — Partner across Legal, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to ensure clarity on compliance expectations. Bridge legal guidance with business execution and ensure alignment across initiatives
- Monitor regulatory trends and evolve practices — Stay informed on emerging privacy, platform safety, and youth-related regulations. Translate changes into updates across processes, tools, and internal guidance to maintain compliance and readiness
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Public Policy, Information Systems, or related field
- 5-7 years experience in Compliance, privacy, trust & safety, or risk operations; data privacy (CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, etc.); cross-functional partnership with Product and Engineering; process design and implementation
- Experience with youth privacy or safety regulations (e.g., COPPA)
- Exposure to marketing or advertising compliance
- Background in trust & safety, content moderation, or platform integrity
- Familiarity with data governance or compliance tooling
