Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ALKEME Insurance is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to work cross functionally to ensure financial goals are met. The role involves providing financial analysis and support to drive strategic objectives, preparing budgets, forecasts, and analyzing financial data.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the preparation of the annual budget and work extensively with functional leaders to develop monthly rolling forecasts and analyze performance results
- Drive decision making and strategy for assigned functions with data and analytical insight
- Prepare internal forecasts of income statements, balance sheets, cash flows and other financial data
- Analyze records of past and present financial data, trends and costs, estimated and actual revenues, commitments, and obligations incurred, to project future sales and expenses
- Provide revenue and gross profit analysis for new and existing products
- Provide product line profitability for historical activity as well as projected results
- Generate scenario and ad-hoc analyses on critical business and financial dimensions
- Assist with various projects related to acquisitions including preliminary analysis, due diligence and post conversion results
- Prepare financial information and presentations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors
- Work with all business partners including attending meetings and developing working relationships with leadership in order to develop a monthly rolling forecast including headcount projections
- Work with business partners to develop and report on productivity measures
- Provide necessary business updates & variance analysis to all levels of management, and strategic support for improved modeling allocations
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 8-10 years' experience in Financial Analysis or related field
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required
- Candidate must be flexible, well organized and able to work well under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a professional demeanor and positive experience working alone or with a team
- Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in simple terms to diverse audiences
- Candidate must possess strong accounting, conceptual, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required
- Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Excel
- MBA and CPA strongly preferred
- SaaS experience a plus
