Eolas is a unified risk management platform built for the real estate industry, focused on providing real-time risk data and security monitoring. The Lead QA Engineer will establish dedicated quality ownership for their AWS-hosted, AI/ML-driven risk platform, building the QA strategy and processes from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Build and own the QA strategy across web and mobile, replacing ad hoc coverage with a consistent, repeatable process
- Define test plans, coverage standards, and quality gates for every release
- Partner with engineering and product leads to shape acceptance criteria before work starts, not after
- Design and maintain automated test suites for regression, integration, and API coverage
- Run manual and exploratory testing on complex risk workflows and AI/ML-driven features
- Own bug triage, tracking, and reporting through to resolution
- Work closely with frontend, backend, and product teams to catch issues early in the cycle
- Validate integrations with client property management systems
- Support release readiness reviews and go/no-go calls
- Select and maintain QA tooling, and wire automated testing into CI/CD
- Define and track quality metrics, including defect escape rate and test coverage
- Mentor other team members on QA best practices as the function and team grow
Skills
- 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including experience owning QA for a SaaS product end to end
- Experience testing across both web and mobile applications
- Proven track record scaling automated test coverage (we use Playwright) - you default to automating, and reach for manual testing when it's the right call, not the first call
- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman
- Familiarity with AWS-hosted applications and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfort testing AI/ML-driven features and the data pipelines behind them
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for cross-functional teams
- A strong problem-solving mindset and a bias toward action in a fast-paced, agile environment
