Role Description Now Hiring: Night Dispatcher Work From Home, US Time Zone As a Night Dispatcher, you are the central hub of our overnight operation. You keep drivers on schedule, track live shipments, and solve problems in real time, whether that is a breakdown on the highway at 2am or a route that needs to change before the driver reaches the next stop. When the sun goes down, you are the one holding everything together. Key Responsibilities • Route & Driver Management: Assign loads, plan overnight routes, and ensure drivers stay on schedule without violating legal Hours of Service (HOS) or DOT regulations. • Emergency Troubleshooting: Handle after-hours breakdowns, traffic delays, and route detours by re-routing trucks and communicating updates. • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, warehouses, and clients. This often includes providing updates on late arrivals or calming frustrated drivers. • System Logging: Update dispatch systems and Transportation Management Software (TMS) to reflect pick-up/drop-off statuses and notable route issues. • Typical Requirements • Work Schedule: Willingness to work graveyard shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM), weekends, and rotating shifts. • Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in logistics, freight dispatch, or fleet management. • Technical Skills: Proficiency with dispatch software (e.g., Trinium, Samsara, GeoTab) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Soft Skills: High tolerance for stress, quick problem-solving skills, and strong geographical and traffic knowledge. •
