About NexaYouth
NexaYouth is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering students through leadership, education, civic engagement, environmental awareness, research, and community service. Through real-world projects, interns work alongside our team to create educational resources, support nonprofit initiatives, develop awareness campaigns, and contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact.
This internship is designed to provide hands-on nonprofit experience while allowing students to earn verified community service hours through their work with NexaYouth.
Position Overview
NexaYouth is seeking motivated high school and college students to join our Summer Internship Program. This is a fully remote, unpaid internship that offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience working in the nonprofit sector while developing valuable professional skills.
Unlike many internships that focus on administrative work, NexaYouth interns work on real projects with real impact. Interns collaborate on research, community initiatives, nonprofit partnerships, educational campaigns, content creation, and service projects that support communities around the world.
Throughout the program, interns will work closely with NexaYouth leadership, receive regular feedback on their work, and contribute to projects that may be published or implemented by the organization.
Responsibilities
Intern responsibilities may include:
• Researching current events, nonprofits, and community issues
• Developing educational resources and awareness campaigns
• Writing articles for NexaYouth Voices
• Assisting with nonprofit partnership research and outreach
• Creating social media and educational content
• Supporting environmental, civic engagement, and youth leadership initiatives
• Developing future community service projects for NexaYouth Service
• Collaborating with fellow interns on weekly impact projects
• Attending virtual team meetings and participating in group discussions
Qualifications
We're looking for students who are:
• Passionate about making a positive impact
• Strong communicators and willing to learn
• Organized and dependable
• Interested in nonprofit work, leadership, public service, education, or community engagement
• Able to work independently while collaborating with a team
Previous experience is not required.
