About the Role At White Cap, this role sits at the center of our AI & Automation transformation. You will lead how business teams identify, evaluate, and adopt AI-powered solutions (including Copilot) to improve the way work gets done. This is a builder role—you won’t just execute existing processes. You’ll help design, refine, and scale how AI & automation are delivered across the organization. What You’ll Do: Lead AI & Automation Intake + Discovery Own the intake process for AI and automation opportunities across business teams Conduct discovery sessions to understand: Current processes, systems, and handoffs Pain points, inefficiencies, and root causes Evaluate whether opportunities are best solved through: Automation AI (e.g., Copilot, LLMs) Hybrid or agentic approaches Translate Business Needs into Solutions Develop: Process flows User stories & acceptance criteria Data mappings and system dependencies Document end-to-end workflows, including integrations and risks Ensure solutions account for: AI variability (hallucinations, edge cases) Fallback logic and validation controls Enable Business Teams & Drive Adoption Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize AI opportunities Support adoption of tools like Microsoft Copilot across functions (Finance, Operations, etc.) Lead working sessions, workshops, and enablement efforts Help teams build confidence and capability in using AI tools effectively Build & Scale the Operating Model Contribute to and evolve: Intake frameworks Templates and standards Stage-gate / decisioning processes Help shape the AI Enablement / Champions Program Create repeatable, scalable processes for future cohorts Collaborate Across Teams Act as the bridge between business and technical teams Coordinate handoffs to delivery teams for build and implementation Partner with: Delivery leads Data & analytics teams Risk, compliance, and architecture stakeholders How You’ll Work (What Makes This Role Different) You will operate in a build-phase environment (not fully mature) You’ll be expected to: Work through ambiguity and evolving processes Make decisions with incomplete information Influence how the program grows and scales Success is measured by: Business adoption Quality of intake and problem framing Ability to turn ideas into structured, actionable solutions Education and Experience Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Copilot / Digital Workplace tools Exposure to: Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI) Intake or service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) Databricks (similar)b Experience working across multiple business domains (finance, ops, HR, etc.) If you’re looking to play a role in building America, consider one of our open opportunities.
