JOB DESCRIPTION We are a European e-commerce agency working with DTC brands on Shopify. We are building a small, long-term development team and we are looking for 2 developers to start. This is not a one-off project. If the collaboration works, this becomes steady, recurring work. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Building and modifying Shopify themes (Liquid, OS 2.0 sections, metafields) Implementing CRO changes on product pages, cart and checkout Tracking setups: Meta Pixel, Conversions API, GA4, Google Tag Manager Frontend work: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, occasionally React Store migrations and app integrations You will not talk to clients. We handle scoping, communication and the final quality review. You get a clear, written brief and you deliver against it. HARD REQUIREMENTS Read this section carefully. If one of these is missing, please do not apply. Real Shopify Liquid experience. Not "I used a page builder". We mean writing sections and snippets, working with metafields, and not hardcoding content that belongs in the theme editor. You work with Git properly. Branches, meaningful commits, pull requests. We review your code before anything reaches a client. You actively use AI coding tools in your daily workflow. Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or similar. We are not testing you on this, we simply work this way and we expect you to as well. You are comfortable in the command line. Not a blocker if you are still learning, but you cannot be afraid of a terminal. Written English good enough for clear async communication. We work asynchronously. If a brief is unclear, we expect you to ask instead of guessing. Overlap of at least 3 hours per day with Central European Time. WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR Agencies or resellers. We want to work with the person doing the work. People who disappear for three days and then send a message saying "sorry, family emergency" Copy-paste proposals. We will notice. RATE AND COMMITMENT Our budget for this role is 4 to 15 USD per hour, depending on what you can actually do. Tell us your rate and tell us why it is that number. We would rather pay the upper end to someone who delivers clean work that needs no rework, than the lower end to someone whose code we have to fix ourselves. Tell us honestly how many hours per week you can commit. We would rather hear 15 reliable hours than 40 hours that turn out to be 10. HOW WE START First task is a small, real, PAID test assignment (roughly 2 to 3 hours at your rate). It is a real piece of work from a real project, not a puzzle. It tells us how you write code, how you communicate and how you handle feedback. If it goes well, we move to ongoing work immediately. HOW TO APPLY Start your proposal with the word LIQUID in the first line. Proposals without it will not be read. Then answer these, briefly. Bullet points are fine, we prefer short over polished: Link one Shopify store or theme you worked on. Tell us exactly which parts were yours. Which AI coding tools do you use, and how exactly do you use them in a Shopify project? Give a concrete example, not a general statement. Send a link to a public repo, a pull request or a commit history you authored. We want to see how you actually commit. How many hours per week can you commit, and what is your hourly rate for long-term work? What is the most difficult thing you have built in Liquid? Please do not send a portfolio PDF. We read the five answers above. DO NOT SEND ME REQUESTS ON MAIL OR LINKEDIN THANK YOU
