Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively and closely with lenders, builders, and realtors to assemble, review, organize, prepare and review relevant documentation for closing.
• Ensure all title, disbursement and closing activities adhere to federal, state, and underwriting policies and regulations.
• Serve as liaison between borrowers, builders, and construction lenders.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all loan and project documentation within Cambria Title’s system.
• Coordinate with accounting for the accurate and timely disbursement of funds for draw requests.
• Understand construction budgets and draw processes.
• Read and understand title commitments and address, solve any questions or concerns prior to closing.
• Develop positive working relationships with clients and customers as well as provide frequent communication.
• Ensure all company and regulatory policies are followed.
• Represent Cambria Title professionally while providing a high level of customer service.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation on progress and disposition of files.
• Manage progress of the title work and facilitate corrections or issues to help maintain accuracy of files throughout the closing process.
• Manage the lifespan of new construction files including preparing closing documents, conducting the closing, draws, and sworn construction statement auditing.
Requirements
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in preparing necessary documents required for closing.
• Working knowledge of advanced concepts, terms, practices and procedures of the title industry, closing process, and construction loan transactions.
• High attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
• Strong sense of urgency, professional demeanor and top-notch customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
• Flexibility to attend closings outside the office when necessary.
• Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in closing experience.
• Experience with all other types of closings; refinance, purchase, and real estate transactions.
• Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, SoftPro
Nice-to-haves
• New Construction Closing experience is a plus.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
