Photoroom is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to design, build, and evolve their public API product, used by developers to access Photoroom's AI capabilities. The ideal candidate has strong experience building backend systems in Python, a focus on APIs used by external consumers, and experience with FastAPI and async patterns.
Requirements
- Strong experience building backend systems in Python
- Experience with FastAPI (or similar frameworks) and async patterns, concurrency, and production debugging
- Owned or significantly contributed to the design of public-facing APIs
- Reliability, performance, and developer experience
- Pragmatic and product-minded, prioritising impact and speed, and avoiding over-engineering
- Ownership and decision-making, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
