Your future role at a glance Location: Remote Department: Clinical Documentation Integrity Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift Salary: $82,825.00 - $115,453.00 per year #LI-AM2 #LI-Remote How you'll make an impact in this role • Adapt to varied facility workflows, EHRs, and service lines with minimal training. Support new CDS onboarding, short-term training, and regional initiatives when not deployed for coverage. Assist leadership with CDI best practice implementation during transitions/expansion. • Perform compliant query generation to clarify documentation impacting coding, severity, quality, and reimbursement. • Quickly acclimate to local workflows, EHRs (Epic, Cerner), and CDI software (3M, Iodine, Nuance). • Must be certified in CCDS- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) What minimum requirements you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): • Clinical Documentation Prof. credentialed from the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate' degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred. What additional preferences we're seeking • CCDS certified with advanced knowledge of clinical documentation, coding, DRG, and CDI standards. • Proven adaptability to various hospital systems and workflows. Expertise in SOI/ROM, MCC/CC, mortality reviews, and quality indicator alignment (PSI, HAC). • Strong time management, independence, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with multiple CDI tools (CDE One, Cerner preferred) and remote platforms. Flexible and available for rapid, minimal-notice deployment.
