Job Description:The State of Oregon, in partnership with GSK Solutions, is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a new IT application development project. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in analyzing business processes, documenting system requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This is a remote, 6-month+ contract role.Specialty Areas:

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation – Leading the creation of BRDs, functional specs, user stories, and process diagrams.

• Business Process Analysis – Conducting workflow reviews and systems analysis to define functional and technical needs.

• Agile/Scrum Collaboration – Participating in all Agile ceremonies to ensure alignment between business and technical teams.

• Data Analysis & Visualization – Cleaning, testing, and analyzing data to support application functionality and insights.

• Application Development Support – Working closely with architects, developers, and QA to ensure accurate delivery of features.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.

• Conduct gap and impact analysis on existing systems and proposed application features.

• Create BRDs, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and flow diagrams.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.

• Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA to support application implementation.

• Ensure project activities align with security policies and industry standards.

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to extract business insights.

• Present analytical findings using visualization tools and techniques.

• Industry certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum credentials.

• Experience supporting enterprise software implementation or custom builds.
