ReadTheory is hiring an SDR to help us grow our K–12 school and district sales team.
This is a remote East Coast role for someone who enjoys outbound sales, is comfortable calling and emailing school leaders, and wants a real path toward an Account Executive role.
You’ll help introduce educators to a reading comprehension platform used by millions of students and teachers, while working closely with sales leadership to refine messaging, build pipeline, and improve our outbound motion.
What You'll Do In this role, you’ll be responsible for starting new conversations with school and district leaders and helping turn those conversations into qualified sales opportunities.
You will
Lead outbound outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn
Manage inbound and outbound leads
Run initial discovery calls and introductory walkthroughs
Qualify prospects and book strong demos for Account Executives
Work with sales leadership to test messaging and improve outreach strategy
Use CRM and sales engagement tools to stay organized and manage pipeline
Represent ReadTheory at select education events and conferences
Help shape our SDR playbooks, processes, and best practices
What We're Looking For
2+ years of SDR or BDR experience, with EdTech experience required
Comfort with cold calling, prospecting, and starting conversations with new people
Clear, confident communication over email, phone, and video calls
Strong organization and follow-through
Experience using a CRM and sales engagement tools
Curiosity about education, literacy, and student learning A growth mindset and interest in developing into an Account Executive role
