The Opportunity
We’re looking for a highly strategic, systems-minded Revenue Operations Manager to join Skift and build the data backbone of our global business. Operating across seven revenue lines in 17 countries, this is a true builder role for an operational architect ready to take ownership. You will be the systems layer that empowers our events, growth, subscriptions, research, and editorial teams to operate with precision rather than improvisation. We are actively seeking candidates based in LATAM (Mexico preferred).
Why This Role Matters
As Skift scales its influential travel intelligence ecosystem, data infrastructure is our ultimate growth engine. Partnering closely with our CFO and CPO, you will solve a critical two-part puzzle: first building a bulletproof foundation for our high-profile executive database, and then layering elite revenue operations on top of it. This is not a sales coordinator or marketing strategist role—those teams run revenue; your mission is to build the reconciled, automated infrastructure that makes their revenue generation mathematically precise.
Some of What You’ll Do
Database Architecture & Ownership (The Foundation)
- Build, own, and maintain Skift’s core executive database (the "Skift 5000"), mapping the people who control capital allocation across the global travel economy.
- Execute rigorous deduplication, enrichment, and contact tiering into three distinct rings across nine capital allocator categories.
- Establish smart merge logic across LinkedIn exports, event speaker lists, advisory client records, executive search contacts, and subscriber data.
RevOps Infrastructure & Integrations
- Take complete ownership of HubSpot as our core CRM, auditing the instance, fixing broken pipelines, and enforcing strict data hygiene.
- Build and unify our subscription data infrastructure across Recurly, Stripe, and MySkift to establish a single customer data model and automated Net Revenue Retention (NRR) tracking.
- Partner directly with the CFO on financial controls and reporting, and with the CPO on platform integrations and identity architecture.
Process Design & Team Enablement
- Design and deploy automated, actionable reporting dashboards tailored to each distinct revenue team.
- Create scalable playbooks for event marketing operations, the subscription lifecycle, and sales pipeline management.
- Train internal teams on the systems you build—acting as an educator and an enabler, never a gatekeeper.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in revenue operations, marketing operations, or CRM/data infrastructure, ideally at a B2B media, events, or SaaS company.
- Deep HubSpot Expertise: You are a proven operator who knows how to get under the hood and fix broken CRM instances, not just manage pre-cleaned ones.
- Systems & Data Mastery: Hands-on experience designing integrations across payment platforms (Stripe, Recurly, or similar) paired with elite data hygiene instincts (deduplication, enrichment, segmentation, lifecycle tagging).
- An "Educator" Mindset: A collaborative approach to process design, with the ability to translate complex data architecture into simple, adopted playbooks for non-technical teams.
- Asynchronous Agility: Comfort working across global time zones in a remote-first culture, backed by required English fluency (written and verbal) to collaborate daily with US and UK colleagues.
- Bonus: Experience building or managing structured audience databases or Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) within a media or intelligence context.
Success Metrics
- Month Two (The Audit): Completion of a comprehensive HubSpot audit alongside the live deployment of automated reporting dashboards for at least two revenue teams.
- Month Four (The Infrastructure): Successful application of all nine capital allocator categories and the implementation of clean Net Revenue Retention (NRR) tracking for group/enterprise subscriptions.
- By September / SGF (The Skift 5000): Full operational launch of the queryable "Skift 5000" database, fully integrated into the Skift Intelligence platform launch and reconciled across all payment systems.
- Operational Precision: Transforming cross-departmental workflows from improvised to systematic, allowing the growth and events teams to focus 100% on strategy.
