Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The United States of Africa is a nonprofit organization that seeks to promote unity, peace, and development in Africa. They are currently looking for a Volunteer Product Designer to help design and develop innovative products that align with their mission.
Responsibilities
- Work with our team of volunteers to identify user needs and develop product ideas
- Create prototypes and wireframes to communicate design concepts
- Conduct user research to gather feedback and iterate on designs
- Develop user flows, interaction models, and user interfaces
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented correctly
- Create design guidelines and documentation to ensure consistency across products
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, or related field
- Proven experience as a product designer
- At least 2 to 5 hours a day time commitment
- Excellent design skills and a strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to design high-quality products
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for social impact and a desire to contribute to the USAF's mission
