John Deere is focused on providing solutions for a rapidly growing world, and they are seeking a UX Designer for their Intelligent Solutions Group. The role involves creating user interaction flows, developing prototypes, and collaborating with various teams to enhance user experiences across products.
Responsibilities
- Create User Interaction task flows, as well as developing mock-ups, storyboards and prototypes to effectively communicate designs to product owners and development teams
- Apply knowledge of usability, human factors, and UI processes to create intuitive user experiences and assist in pre and post-development usability testing
- Create and maintain project and overall system design artifacts
- Work with multiple groups across John Deere ISG as a team member or consultant including development teams to ensure that new features are implemented according to specifications
- Collaborate with our mobile team to ensure a consistent experience across web and mobile
- Design the interactions for remote managers to monitor and control autonomous machines
- Develop and implement process improvements and enhancements
- Research and apply learnings of highly automated systems
Skills
- 2 or more years of UX design experience
- Proficiency with Figma or comparable UI prototyping tools, such as: Sketch, Adobe XD
- Experience thinking in terms of holistic design, applying strategic thinking and business goals to design work, focus on usability, and understand aesthetic values
- Experience using Generative AI tools in your workflow to accelerate early sketching stages and concept ideation
- Experience translating customer needs into design and to articulate that design to technical team members
- Experience transitioning easily between multiple topics and aesthetics
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in UX Design, Interaction / Visual Design, Human Factors, Graphic Design, or a related field
- A strong portfolio of UI including mobile screens and prototypes
- 2 or more years of experience with Figma
- 2 or more years of experience influencing stakeholders to drive an intentional design philosophy
- 2 or more years of experience understanding and applying visual brand guidelines/style guides
- Experience with agile development methodologies
