The Title Analyst position is responsible for performing thorough examinations of land records and assisting in the resolution of title deficiencies to support the issuance of title commitments.
Responsibilities
- Performing thorough examinations of land records, assessment records and tax certificates to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the title products
- Identifies and assists in the resolution of title deficiencies to support the issuance of title commitments that meet marketability standards
- Prepares documents, inputs data and closely collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve title issues promptly
- Actively communicates with closers and clients to address outstanding title items, ensuring timely and compliant transactions
Skills
- High school diploma or GED Required
- 1+ years' experience in title research, title examination or a related field
- Ability to interpret title commitments across various jurisdictions
- Knowledge of the title curative process for resolving outstanding title issues
- Familiarity with title documents, including deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, assignments, powers of attorney and affidavits
- Basic understanding of foreclosure processes, including short sales, deeds in lieu and judicial and non-judicial foreclosures
- Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with high accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid interpersonal skills

- Good judgement with the ability to evaluate and make decisions
