The Team Manager role involves providing support, coaching, and performance management for insurance sales agents, while also focusing on process improvement and client management.
Responsibilities
- To drive team performance, manage outliers, coaching agents, and monitoring of calls
- Hiring, training, coaching, and leading sales agents as they provide support for customers
- Assisting other management team members in identifying trends and establishing goals
- Ensuring staff members are achieving desired service levels and taking corrective action, as needed
- Preparing reports and analyzing data to improve processes, ensure resources are properly allocated, and maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Coaching agents with upsell performance utilizing key behaviors such as positioning the sale, making an offer, and overcoming objections and providing effective rebuttals
- Personal Effectiveness/Credibility
- Reinforce compliance with company policies such as house rules, attendance policy, and PIP guidelines. You will ensure that you and your team members do the right thing each time even if it means doing the difficult things
- Review, lead, and proactively suggest improvements to current policies and processes to ultimately win our employees, customers, and partners over
Skills
- Active Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License or Personal Lines License is required
- No prior disciplinary actions with state insurance commissioners (FINRA/SEC licenses are a plus if your agency handles variable products)
- Mastery of managing and distributing lead lists (e.g., internet leads, cross-sell lists) to maximize the team's contact rate
- 3+ years of documented success as an insurance producer, preferably within an Allstate Exclusive Agency or an independent agency handling captive-style metrics
- 1–2 years of experience managing a sales team, running daily huddles, or serving as a senior mentor/producer
- Proven ability to manage high-volume outbound environments
- Deep understanding of how to pivot a standard auto or home quote into a life insurance or umbrella policy conversation
- Ability to shadow live calls, review recorded lines, and provide real-time, constructive feedback on dynamic 'talk paths' and objection handling
- Skill in identifying stuck leads in the pipeline and instructing agents on how to re-engage prospects
