They are seeking a Staff Engineer, Backend to design and maintain backend systems, taking ownership of the development lifecycle and ensuring high-quality product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Go and other modern technologies
- Be able to work across the stack to build an end to end feature
- Own the entire development lifecycle of assigned features, from initial design and implementation to testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Implement best practices for code quality, performance optimization, and security
- Interact directly with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs, incorporating this knowledge into technical solutions
- Participate in technical discussions and provide insights and solutions to complex problems
Skills
- A proven track record of building high-quality products
- Proficiency in Go or other server-side programming languages
- Familiarity with React and related libraries/frameworks
- Experience with distributed systems and scaling architectures
- Strong understanding of databases and data management
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Located and eligible to work in the US. Remote work friendly
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in writing unit and integration tests
