Carolina Population Center is part of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a leader in innovative education and public service. They are seeking a Senior HR Business Analyst to provide support for the Human Resources/Benefits/Payroll portion of their PeopleSoft HCM system, focusing on business analysis, system configuration, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Provide analysis and specification of departmental information processing requirements
- Design, configuration, unit testing, customer acceptance testing and support for enterprise HR applications
- Development of small to medium scale departmental databases
- Provide compliance and management information-related reporting and analysis
- Support the PeopleSoft modules and related applications including reporting and data analytics
- Apply bundles and patches, retrofitting customizations, supporting interfaces to 3rd party systems
- Implement changes and enhancements requested to support new or changed business processes
- Provide support for the Human Resources / Benefits / Payroll portion of UNC Chapel Hill’s PeopleSoft HCM system
- Conduct business analysis and development for PeopleSoft and related HR/Benefits/Payroll 3rd party systems
- Provide functional support for the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to post go-live support and report development
Skills
- Master's and 1-2 years' experience; or Bachelors and 2-4 years' experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and thrive in a highly dynamic environment
- 1-3 years' experience in a Higher Education Environment strongly preferred
- 1-3 years' experience with reporting or data analysis in Human Resources, Payroll or Benefits preferred
- 1-3 years' experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP system strongly preferred
- 1-3 years' experience with an enterprise issue-tracking/ticketing system (Service Now preferred)
- 1-3 years' experience with an enterprise Learning Management system (Cornerstone preferred)
