Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sentara Health is a healthcare organization committed to improving health every day. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to prepare and analyze financial statements, assist with audits, and conduct financial research and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, research, and adjust financial statements for management presentation
- Creates relevant work papers, schedules, and reconciliations
- Review and comprehend financial indicators and results of operations, significant operational statistics, variances from budget and historical results
- Research technical accounting and financial reporting issues, and assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects
- This position assists in preparation and coordination of year-end audits
Skills
- Bachelor Level Degree (Required with concentration in Finance or Accounting)
- 1 year Accounting or Finance experience required
- Strong Excel skills
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration will be considered in lieu of required experience
- CPA strongly preferred
- Public Accounting experience strongly preferred
- Previous Healthcare experience preferred
