Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a Software Engineer to support the design, development, and ongoing operations of enterprise applications. This role involves backend development and operational engineering, requiring hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and support microservices-based architectures
- Apply concurrency programming concepts and test-driven development (TDD)
- Participate in system design, implementation planning, and technical documentation
- Contribute to application testing, enhancements, and ongoing support
- Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices to deliver robust applications
- Support applications in Linux-based environments across development and production
- Develop and maintain shell scripts to support operational workflows
- Work with infrastructure and deployment tools including Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Troubleshoot application and environment issues and support system stability
- Maintain system-level and operational documentation
Skills
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Experience building and maintaining microservices
- Working knowledge of Python
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Linux fundamentals and shell scripting
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Exposure to Terraform and/or Ansible
- Understanding of SDLC and enterprise development practices
- Cloud platform experience
- Exposure to AI/ML development
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications
