They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to design and deliver secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions using Python, microservices, and AWS, while providing technical leadership and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance Python-based microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions
- Deliver high-quality software through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions, helping drive decisions that support scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability
- Monitor and improve application performance, observability, resiliency, and operational readiness while troubleshooting and resolving production issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including architecture, security, operations, product, and business teams, to deliver effective solutions
- Research and implement new technologies, tools, and engineering practices that improve developer productivity, delivery speed, and customer outcomes
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to fellow engineers while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture
Skills
- High School Diploma is required, plus a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- An experienced software engineer with 10+ years of relevant development experience and a strong track record of delivering enterprise-scale solutions
- Highly proficient in Python and experienced in building secure, scalable, cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Skilled in AWS-based development, event-driven and serverless architectures, API management, data integration, and modern DevOps practices
- Knowledgeable in software quality, test automation, CI/CD, observability, security, compliance, and operational excellence
- A strong problem solver who can navigate complex technical and business challenges, evaluate tradeoffs, and recommend effective solutions
- An effective communicator and collaborative team player who can explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Passionate about mentoring others, driving engineering best practices, and continuously improving development processes through modern tools and technologies, including responsible use of AI-assisted development tools
