Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Float Health is building the marketplace for specialty pharmacy, aiming to make healthcare safer and more efficient. The Senior Software Engineer will have ownership across the stack, working closely with various stakeholders to develop impactful features and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own and ship high-impact features end-to-end, from technical design through production
- Work directly with nurses, pharmacy partners, and internal ops to understand real pain points and build solutions that address them
- Set a high technical bar through design reviews, code review, and hands-on execution — not just oversight
- Identify and drive technical initiatives around code quality, observability, and testing without waiting for permission
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete engineering plans and deliver them with minimal hand-holding
- Collaborate across functions and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders about tradeoffs and timelines
Skills
- 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Proficiency in Golang — this is our primary backend language
- Experience with web services and REST API development
- Comfort working in early-stage product environments where requirements evolve rapidly
- Strong written and written communication skills; you can work effectively across engineering, ops, and customer-facing teams
- Based in the US and available to work on US hours
- Experience working on marketplace products
- Experience in Frontend technologies
- Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Experience with data analysis and SQL
- Background working on distributed teams
- BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
