The Senior Android Engineer will own the native Android foundation and ensure high-quality releases while improving app performance and integration with other platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own the native Android foundation using Kotlin and Android SDK
- Improve app shell, lifecycle, push, deeplinks, releases, reliability, and responsiveness
- Create integration points for native Android, React Native, Flutter, and WebView modules
Skills
- 5+ years professional Android engineering experience
- Strong Kotlin, Android SDK, and production Android app development
- Experience owning major parts of a consumer-facing Android app
- Strong understanding of Android architecture, lifecycle, navigation, concurrency, networking, persistence, and modularization
- 5+ years Android experience
- Strong Kotlin experience
- Strong Android SDK experience
- Jetpack Compose experience
