LS Solutions is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead and develop their team responsible for securing cloud and application environments. The role involves leading the Security Engineering team, designing security controls, managing compliance efforts, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure secure system design.
Responsibilities
- Leading, coaching, and growing the Security Engineering team, including Cloud and Application Security Engineers
- Designing and implementing security controls across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Embedding security into the software development lifecycle through threat modeling, architecture reviews, and automation
- Managing security monitoring, incident response, and compliance efforts aligned with standards like SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST
- Developing metrics, policies, and procedures to communicate security posture and improve defenses
- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure secure system design and deployment
- Recruiting, mentoring, and retaining high-performing security professionals
Skills
- Proficiency in AWS security services, Terraform, GitLab, CI/CD security practices
- Deep understanding of cloud security architecture, IAM, data security, and secure SDLC
- Experience leading or partnering with Application Security efforts
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security standards
- Strong communication skills to explain risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 5+ years in cybersecurity, with experience securing AWS and cloud-native systems; prior leadership experience required
- Relevant certifications like AWS Security – Specialty, CISSP are a plus
