Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BrothersTech is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery across web, mobile, and API applications through both manual and automation testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform manual testing for web, mobile, and API applications
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or Azure DevOps
- Validate REST APIs using Postman or REST Assured
- Perform database validation using SQL queries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during sprint planning, execution, and release cycles
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Validate production deployments and perform post-release testing
- Maintain test documentation and provide regular quality reports
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Strong experience in Manual Testing
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Experience testing REST APIs using Postman
- Strong SQL skills for backend validation
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect tracking tools
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Programming experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter
- Experience testing microservices-based applications
- ISTQB Certification is a plus
