[Remote] QA Tester

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. First Soft Solutions LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA Tester with at least 3 years of hands-on software testing experience to join their quality assurance team. The role involves validating application functionality, identifying defects, ensuring product quality, and supporting the successful delivery of software releases.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to understand application functionality
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues efficiently
• Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing prior to production releases
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress and quality metrics
• Participate in requirement review sessions to ensure requirements are testable and complete
• Support release validation activities and production verification
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing best practices

Skills

• Minimum 3 years of software testing experience
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and UAT Testing
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, qTest, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar
• Ability to create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and execution reports
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Exposure to test automation tools is an added advantage
• Basic SQL knowledge for backend data validation
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger is preferred
• Understanding of CI/CD testing practices is desirable
