Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Clevanoo LLC is seeking experienced Tax Managers and Senior Tax Accountants to join their public accounting team. The roles involve managing tax engagements, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and providing professional tax guidance to clients while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Review and manage federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations and corporations
- Oversee returns including 1040, 1065, 1120 and 1120S
- Manage client engagements from planning through completion
- Act as a main point of contact for clients, providing clear and professional tax guidance
- Support tax planning and advisory projects
- Review work prepared by junior and senior staff, providing feedback and technical guidance
- Research complex tax matters and help resolve client issues
- Manage deadlines, workflow and priorities during busy season and throughout the year
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to provide additional value
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations and corporations
- Work on returns including 1040, 1065, 1120 and 1120S
- Assist with tax planning and advisory projects for clients
- Communicate with clients to gather information, answer questions and resolve tax matters
- Research tax issues and stay up to date with current tax laws and regulations
- Support managers and partners during busy season and throughout the year
- Help identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver a high level of client service
Skills
- 5+ years of tax experience, preferably within public accounting
- Strong technical knowledge across individual and business tax
- Experience reviewing 1040, 1065, 1120 and 1120S returns
- Ability to manage client relationships and multiple engagements
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- 3–5 years of tax experience, ideally within public accounting
- Strong experience preparing individual and business tax returns
- Exposure to 1040, 1065, 1120 and 1120S returns
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Good communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team
- CPA or EA is not essential, but would be highly desirable
- Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior staff would be beneficial
- CPA or EA is not required, but would be highly desirable
