Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Loan Factory is a fast-growing U.S. mortgage brokerage built to help loan officers grow their business with better technology, support, and training. They are seeking an experienced instructor to lead their NMLS-approved education program, teaching mortgage courses to new and active loan officers primarily through live online sessions.
Responsibilities
- Lead live, engaging course sessions covering federal and state mortgage laws, ethics, nontraditional mortgage products, and lending fundamentals
- Help develop course materials and keep them current and compliant with the SAFE Act and NMLS standards
- Answer student questions and support them through licensing and renewal
- Use student feedback to keep improving the courses over time
Skills
- At least 5 years of recent, hands-on experience in residential mortgage lending (recent real estate or appraisal experience will also be considered)
- Strong working knowledge of current federal and state mortgage laws and regulations
- Eligibility to teach NMLS-approved courses, you have not been denied approval to offer mortgage, real estate, or appraisal education
- Confidence presenting live and keeping a virtual room engaged
- A clear, plain-spoken communicator who can make dense material easy to understand
- Active or past NMLS / MLO license
- Prior teaching, training, or public-speaking experience
- Familiarity with NMLS Course Provider standards and course-approval requirements
