Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Network Engineer (Engineer 2). As a Network Engineer within the Network Security team, you will design, implement, and support security technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve existing security infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Palo Alto Next-gen Firewall platforms and other security technologies
- Perform end-to-end security analysis on network solutions to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
- Manage cloud security operations, including identity and access control, configuration management, and data security
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams and operational standards
- Conduct risk assessments and analyze security controls to mitigate potential threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure infrastructure adheres to security standards throughout project delivery
- Support security device building, including data loss prevention systems and intrusion prevention systems
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to security operations, policies, and processes
Skills
- 3+ years of related network engineering experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud security with AWS and Azure
- Proven experience configuring Palo Alto Next-generation Firewalls
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and practices
- Effective communication skills to interact across technical and leadership levels
- Ability to document architecture, standards, and operational procedures
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to work within U.S. Central Standard Time core hours
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred
- Experience with DLP and intrusion prevention systems
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Knowledge of scripting and threat signature creation, including Splunk dashboards
- Experience with firewall policy auditing and monitoring tools like Firemon
- Working knowledge of Cisco FirePower
