Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Forged Fiber is dedicated to delivering fast and reliable connectivity through a state-of-the-art fiber network. They are seeking a Network Implementation Engineer I to support OSP network design and project execution by managing engineering requests and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and update Engineering Work Orders for new builds, upgrades, relocations, and fiber deployments (FTTN, FTTH, FTTT, etc.)
- Review design prints and redlines; apply corrections to ensure accuracy and construction readiness
- Develop OSP designs in 3GIS and utilize tools such as AutoCAD/CAD systems, Ivaula, Netsuite, Sitetracker, and Microsoft Office
- Process invoices, validate financial documentation, and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with vendors, developers, builders, and municipalities on project requirements and timelines
- Engage with city departments to secure permits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support Engineering II and Senior Engineers and complete record updates as needed
Skills
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 5–7 years of telecommunications, engineering, or network planning experience
- Strong proficiency with engineering systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with internal and external partners
- Technical design proficiency (3GIS, OSP engineering tools, redline review)
- Strong communication & collaboration with vendors, city officials, and internal teams
- Detail-oriented & organized with strong multitasking abilities
