Motion Recruitment is seeking a Lead .NET / REST / AI Developer to partner closely with the Lead Architect in advancing enterprise AI initiatives. This role will focus on integrating AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications while ensuring system stability, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Lead Architect to implement AI solutions and adopt best practices established by the AI Transformation Office
- Design and develop resilient integration patterns that enable AI tools to interact seamlessly with enterprise applications
- Build and optimize high-performance C#/.NET REST APIs that support real-time AI data processing and integrations
- Design and implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) API layers to enable secure, structured, and efficient communication between AI services and enterprise systems
- Develop rate limiting, caching, buffering, and other performance optimization strategies to protect production databases from high-volume AI-driven workloads
- Translate architectural concepts into scalable, production-ready code
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and resolve downstream system impacts and undocumented behaviors introduced through AI integrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure reliable, secure, and maintainable AI-enabled solutions
Skills
- Extensive hands-on experience developing high-throughput REST APIs using C# and modern .NET (.NET Core/.NET 6+ preferred)
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, API design, and distributed systems
- Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise applications
- Knowledge of or hands-on experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Strong understanding of database optimization, caching strategies (Redis or similar), and asynchronous messaging or queuing technologies
- Experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant systems capable of supporting AI workloads
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate downstream impacts of AI implementations across complex enterprise environments
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience building AI agent integrations and enterprise AI workflows
- Familiarity with modern AI orchestration frameworks and agent architectures
- Experience with performance tuning, resiliency patterns, and chaos engineering principles
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise software environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
