The role involves developing new business with pharmaceutical and medical device companies while expanding existing client partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across the pharmaceutical, medical device and or life sciences industries
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers in Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Technical Operation
- Partner with Marketing and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience from lead generation through project launch
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and forecast activity using Salesforce
- Stay current on industry trends, cGMP regulations, and market needs to position innovative laboratory and analytical solutions
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline
- 3+ years of successful business development experience selling environmental monitoring services to pharmaceutical or medical device companies
- Proven track record of prospecting, developing, and closing new business
- Strong consultative selling, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience using Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities and sales pipelines
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a remote environment and travel approximately 50%
