Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Ohio State University is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support the efficient delivery of HR services. This role will involve managing HR processes, building relationships with staff and faculty, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the efficient delivery of HR services to designated managers, staff, and faculty
- Providing guidance on HR policies and processes
- Monitoring and reporting progress on key metrics
- Supporting the human resources team by providing human resources analysis and support services to maximize the effectiveness of HR processes
- Managing Workday and Service Now transactions
- Partnering with the HR Service Center
- Maintaining compliance with payroll and internal controls
- Building strong relationships with management, staff, and faculty
- Gathering customer concerns and establishing trust
- Assisting with HR lifecycle processes
- Identifying educational needs and supporting compliance efforts
- Providing tactical support for organizational restructuring
- Data analysis, reporting, and technical support
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resources, business administration, or related work
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish ‘quick' rapport with all levels of the organization
- Strong mind-set for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding customer expectations
- 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems functionality Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred
