Hatched Recruitment Group is an established engineering consulting firm seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager for their Railroad Division. The role involves leading high-profile geotechnical projects across the United States, providing technical expertise, managing client relationships, and mentoring engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex geotechnical engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Manage field investigations, subsurface explorations, laboratory testing programs, and construction observation activities
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, proposals, and other project documentation
- Collaborate with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and project stakeholders to develop practical and innovative geotechnical solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and project teams
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to achieve successful project outcomes
- Support business development initiatives by assisting with proposals, client engagement, and project pursuits
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
- 12+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project management responsibilities
- Previous experience delivering railroad infrastructure projects is essential
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure in the near term
- Experience using geotechnical engineering software such as AutoCAD, GeoStudio, LPILE, or similar programs
- Strong understanding of transportation and railroad design and construction standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States as required
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
