Judge Direct Placement is seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong experience in the design and installation of medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems for industrial facilities. This role involves collaboration with clients and internal teams to deliver effective electrical solutions across various industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, panelboards, feeders, and protective devices
- Support installation and construction of medium‑ and low‑voltage equipment, ensuring compliance with engineered drawings and specifications
- Develop engineering deliverables such as calculations, design packages, reports, and client documentation
- Perform electrical studies including short‑circuit, arc‑flash, load flow, and protective device coordination
- Ensure code compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and facility standards
- Collaborate with multi‑discipline teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
- Engage with clients to support project scoping, design reviews, and technical discussions
- Provide field verification, respond to RFIs, and support commissioning/startup activities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, consulting engineering, or EPC environments (Chemical, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, metals, or general manufacturing.)
- Hands‑on experience with medium‑ and low‑voltage distribution equipment (switchgear, transformers, MCCs, panelboards, protective devices)
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards
- Experience supporting construction, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with clients and contractors
- PE preferred; EIT acceptable
