The Director of Sales - Club is responsible for planning and directing the achievement of sales objectives at Club, managing customer relationships, and developing sales strategies to drive profitable growth.
Responsibilities
- Accountable to deliver annual financial objectives, using key analytic tools to drive profitable growth
- Develop annual national customer Club sales plans with building blocks to support key growth pillars
- Manage the associate key account manager for club
- Manage national customer specific reporting and administration tools including business reviews, promotional contracts, trade spend investment and monthly expenses
- Manage monthly national customer forecasting process using internal selling tools
- Collaboratively work with internal supply chain partners and manage integration business planning (IBP) process for Club
- Liaise with Director of Commercial Planning to clearly communicate priorities, account risks and opportunities where the team can play a role and support
- Manage and maintain ongoing relationships with key customer stakeholders and identify optimal meeting cadence
- Achieve and maintain adequate shelf space and proper positioning of our brands, as determined by national objectives
- Identify new opportunities at Club to increase positioning
- Lead Joint Business Planning process and evaluate monthly sales and profitability scorecard
- Analyze national customer specific sales reporting tool to identify growth drivers
- Develop and execute category management strategies and tactics
- Manage and solve out of stock situations at retail level collaboratively with internal partners
- Securing incremental display space timed with key account promotional activities
- Securing payment from delinquent accounts
- Conducting quarterly business reviews with Club
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Skills
- College or University Diploma/Degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sales Experience of 8+ years in sales, account management or business development
- Proven ability to work independently, and on own initiatives
- Collaborative, multi-tasking, ability to build a relationship with a variety of people
- Organized and able to make an independent decision
- Driver's License and able to travel to make customer visits and meetings
- Able to handle stock, loading and unloading vehicle (approximately 30 lbs. at a time)
- Category Management experience an asset
