The Data Scientist-Junior will support the USSOCOM Intelligence Data Science Team program, contributing to data-driven solutions and utilizing advanced tools to interpret and analyze data.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to completion of milestones associated with specific projects
- Develops data-driven solutions to business challenges of moderate scope/complexity
- Utilize advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and make discoveries in data
- Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques
- May use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes
- May assist with identifying opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
- May develop processes and machine learning based tools to monitor and analyze model and performance and data accuracy
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills
- Top Secret/SCI clearance required
- 3+ years of related experience, including academic or internship-based data science work
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- Proficiency in Python and Bash, including API development and data manipulation
- Familiarity with SQL and large-scale systems such as PostgreSQL, Hive, or Trino
- Basic understanding of ML concepts and familiarity with Flask or FastAPI
- US Citizenship required
- Cloud or ML-related certifications
