Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network dedicated to improving access to STEM education for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. The Community Engagement Business Development Team Lead will provide leadership and direction to engage with middle schools and manage a team of Area Managers to promote afterschool STEM programs.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Data Analytics team to identify Schools of interest that could partner with JerseySTEM, amongst New Jersey 2000+ middle schools according to criteria established by the board of Directors
- Research schools, identifies stakeholders (School admins) and locate their contacts
- Assign schools to Area Managers and agree on targets/goals for the outreach
- Partner with Area managers to call on schools identified as targets
- Participate in the COME leadership team activities
- Conduct/Attend virtual team meetings weekly : (Sundays 6pm EST)
Skills
- Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap
- Interest and familiarity with Data and data based decision making
- Interest and/or familiarity with K-12 school data
- Strong Analytical skills
- Resourceful, can-do attitude
- Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization' with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)
- Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week
- Would be a plus if candidate has flexible schedule to allow for day time calls with the school admins during the work week
