Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AAFCPAs is a people-first CPA and consulting firm seeking a Senior Accountant in Audit to join their team. In this role, you will manage complex assignments for various clients while guiding team members, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery, and building strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage multifaceted and complex assignments for a variety of clients and businesses
- Guide other team members
- Collaborate with AAFCPAs’ multidisciplinary team
- Share accountability with the manager and partner in ensuring timely and accurate service delivery and optimal client satisfaction
- Lead audit engagement teams
- Emphasize clear communication, collaboration, and flexibility
- Ensure deliverables are provided at agreed upon timelines
Skills
- BS/BA degree with a concentration in accounting and active pursuit of CPA
- 3+ years of auditing experience with independent or charter schools with a public accounting firm
- A service mentality and a thorough understanding of accounting debits and credits along with audit risk areas
- Ability to work independently on assignments and address issues or questions with your engagement manager or partner
- Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills along with attention to detail
- Understand full engagement management process including client expectations, able to leverage your manager's time well
- Ability to build relationships with client staff
- Encourage open dialogue and ongoing team communication
- Open to learning and practicing effective presentation skills both verbally and written
- Learn and employ best practice supervision techniques and use team resources effectively
- Research and propose ideas to increase innovation and efficiency
- Identify training needs and develop team members
- Understand risks and ensure compliance with firm policy
- Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Pro F/X is a plus
