Ultra Electronics Group is redefining defense technology and is seeking early-career Software Engineers to join their Mission Software team. The role involves working under the mentorship of a Solutions Architect to support mission application development and enhance engineering capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Join the team redefining defense technology
- Work directly with a senior Solutions Architect to build up engineering capabilities
- Leverage modern AI tools to force-multiply the team’s impact and accelerate delivery for high-demand programs
- Take on progressively challenging work as you develop, with a clear growth path toward a Solutions Architect track
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 0–3 years of software engineering experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Solid foundation in software development fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, version control)
- Curiosity, ambition, and a strong drive to learn
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; active clearance preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance
- Exposure to AI/ML tooling and modern development workflows
- Familiarity with Python, C++, Go, or similar languages
- Interest in edge compute, mission systems, or rugged platforms
- Aspiration to grow into a Solutions Architect role
