The Senior Analytics Engineer will bridge data engineering and business decision-making, responsible for designing scalable data models and building reliable analytics pipelines to empower business leaders with informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models that support marketing, product, and customer analytics
- Develop and optimize analytics pipelines that transform raw data into trusted business datasets
- Build dashboards and reporting solutions that provide clear visibility into customer behavior, marketing performance, and business outcomes
- Partner directly with product managers, marketing teams, and business stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into technical solutions
- Investigate trends, validate metrics, and explain the "why" behind changes in business performance through thoughtful analysis and deep understanding of the underlying data
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of analytics by maintaining strong data governance and documentation practices
- Establish best practices for data modeling, semantic layers, naming conventions, and analytics engineering standards
- Mentor junior analytics engineers while promoting engineering excellence and a culture of continuous improvement
- Leverage AI tools to improve productivity while maintaining a strong understanding of the underlying data, business logic, and analytical methodology
- Work independently through ambiguous business problems by identifying stakeholders, gathering requirements, and delivering scalable solutions with minimal guidance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support modern cloud-based analytics infrastructure and evolving data architecture

- Proven success designing scalable data models and analytics solutions
- Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions for business users
- Strong understanding of SQL transformations and how business metrics are derived from raw data
- Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to answer questions, validate metrics, and explain technical concepts
- Experience working in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments with evolving priorities
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex problems with minimal direction
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable presenting findings, answering follow-up questions, and building credibility with business stakeholders
- Naturally curious with a desire to understand not just what the data says, but why
- Strong ownership mentality with the confidence to work through ambiguity and solve problems independently
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across engineering, product, and business teams
- Passion for continuous learning and proactively adopting new technologies, including AI
- Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Experience supporting marketing analytics, digital product analytics, or customer acquisition reporting
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry
- Experience working within modern cloud-based data platforms and architectures
- Familiarity with AI-powered development workflows and using AI as a productivity accelerator
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and helping establish engineering standards
