The role involves blending instructional design with AI technologies to enhance learning experiences for various audiences, collaborating with experts to develop engaging learning programs.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end learning experiences using instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Design Thinking)
- Develop AI-assisted learning content, assessments, and simulations
- Create personalized learning pathways using AI-driven recommendations
- Use generative AI tools to accelerate content creation while ensuring quality and accuracy
- Design microlearning, e-learning, instructor-led, and blended learning solutions
- Build interactive learning activities using authoring tools
- Analyze learner data and learning analytics to improve course effectiveness
- Collaborate with SMEs to transform technical content into engaging learning experiences
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive learning practices
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies for learning and development applications
- Maintain learning content within Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design
- Experience using AI tools for content creation and learning design
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles
- Experience with LMS platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, or Educational Technology
- AI certifications (Microsoft, Google, AWS, OpenAI, etc.)
- Experience with adaptive learning platforms
- Knowledge of prompt engineering
- Experience designing chatbot-based learning experiences
- Familiarity with xAPI, SCORM, and Learning Record Stores (LRS)
