Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Louisiana State University is seeking Content Tutors for the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes. The role involves providing academic support to student-athletes, helping them develop confidence and effective study skills through structured one-on-one and group tutoring sessions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Student-Athlete progress through communication with students and advisors
- Help the student to develop better time management, critical thinking and organization
- Foster an understanding of learning and motivation and help to clarify course material
- Maintain confidentiality when working with Student-Athletes
- Complete all reports and other tasks in a timely and effective manner
- Attend all training sessions (including Beginning and Mid-Semester Compliance Trainings and monthly CRLA Trainings)
- Maintain consistent communication with Advisors and Learning Specialist
- Set a good example for the Student-Athlete! Be on time, be responsible and be a good role model
Skills
- All candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain that valid work authorization throughout employment
- Content tutors have the ability to work in one-on-one sessions as well as in group sessions
- Attend all training sessions (including Beginning and Mid-Semester Compliance Trainings and monthly CRLA Trainings)
- Maintain consistent communication with Advisors and Learning Specialist
