They are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of key clients, manage teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall financial operations for key clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings and financial reporting
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field
- 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; Access, database, or other system knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience within early-stage biotech or medical device industry is preferred
- Managerial experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license preferrable but not required
