Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Roquette is a family-owned global leader in plant-based ingredients and a leading provider of pharmaceutical excipients. They are seeking a Key Account Manager to manage existing industrial customers in North America while exploring new markets and applications.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the sales plan on a customer and territory level
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in the customer organization
- Develop in-depth understanding of customer needs and capabilities
- Create, maintain, and progress an opportunity pipeline to drive above-market growth in the territory
- Scout new potential customers in previously unknown industrial markets and/or new applications
- Adapt product value proposition to new applications, as needed
- Hands on profile (compose commercial proposals for existing and new customers, coordinating trials at potential customers, conduct business reviews with existing customers, accurately forecast customer demand, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish new commercial relationships fast as well as new internal relationships with regional teams around the global
Skills
- Chemistry or technical background/degree combined with at least 5 years in sales/application development/customer facing roles
- Excels at teamwork
- Ability to relate/adapt across multiple cultures
- Strong entrepreneurial drive with a desire to deliver solutions with speed and agility
- Customer Focus/ Action Oriented – Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm
- Drives Results – Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances
- Communicates Effectively – Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Experience in markets like coatings, paints, ceramics, paper would be considered as a strong plus
