Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end projects in QGIS, from raw spatial data acquisition and cleaning to final map outputs and comprehensive deliverables.
• Document your workflow and reasoning in real-time as you perform data management, spatial analysis, and map production tasks.
• Organize, clean, and validate diverse spatial datasets, ensuring high accuracy and consistency throughout the process.
• Manage projections, coordinate systems, and spatial references to optimize data interoperability and output quality.
• Style and symbolize map layers for clarity, interpretability, and professional presentation in various contexts.
• Build advanced layouts and cartographic products, explaining your design decisions along the way.
• Troubleshoot issues and explain problem-solving strategies as they arise within QGIS workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Extensive hands-on experience with QGIS, including managing full GIS projects independently.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality spatial analyses, maps, and geospatial outputs using QGIS.
• In-depth understanding of spatial data formats, coordinate systems, projections, and related GIS principles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions and workflow rationale.
• Strong data organization, cleaning, and transformation skills within QGIS.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex challenges in GIS workflows.
• Comfortable working remotely while maintaining consistent project documentation and communication with the broader team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience documenting GIS processes for training, teaching, or AI research purposes.
• Background in mentoring or collaborating within multi-disciplinary GIS teams.
• Familiarity with integrating QGIS with other geospatial tools or programming languages.
