This position is fully remote but must work EST time zone. The client is looking for a Technical Lead with deep Snowflake administration expertise and experience working with RBAC (role-based access control) architecture.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Technical Architecture Leadership: Design and validate all Snowflake RBAC implementations against platform constraints
• Performance Impact Analysis: Ability to assess role hierarchy complexity impact on query performance and system scalability
• Client Education & Mentoring: Teach HD Supply team Snowflake fundamentals, best practices, and platform limitations
• Implementation Oversight: Review and approve all database role designs, inheritance patterns, and security configurations
• Stakeholder Communication: Interface with HD Supply technical team to explain platform realities and architectural decisions
Must Have Requirements:
• Deep Snowflake Expertise: 5+ years hands-on Snowflake administration including role hierarchies, managed schemas, and SECURITY ADMIN/SYS ADMIN models
• Enterprise RBAC Architecture: Proven experience designing role consolidation for 100+ role environments while maintaining security governance
• Platform Constraint Mastery: Understanding of what can and cannot be changed in Snowflake's security model (managed schemas, database role requirements, ownership models)
